This trail is an interesting coastal hiking experience along a marine and archaeologically – rich coastline with unspoiled beaches, stone age caves and dune middens. It is rated as one of the Top 5 Hiking Trails in South Africa by Getaway magazine and one of the “Unforgettable Walks to do before you Die” by the BBC.

You can swim in safe bays, snorkel in tidal pools or simply meander along the beaches, rocky shores and sea cliffs. Your guide will teach you about the habits  of whales, dolphins and  sea shore birds, including the nests and feeding habits of the African Black Oystercatcher. Medicinal plants and their benefits are included in the experience pointed out by your guide.
