Dolphin Trail

Tsitsikamma National Park – Storms River

Strenuous

Most South African hikers will have done or want to do the Otter Trail. The Dolphin Trail is the Otter’s shorter, more luxurious cousin. It starts at the same place, with overnight accommodation in the Tsitsikamma National Parks cabins at the Storm River Mouth. The trail heads in the opposite directions with the first night at Misty Mountain Resort and the second at the Fernery, both up-market guest house venues. The paths lead through pristine forest, over rocky shores and along spectacular cliff faces. 4×4 transport brings guests back to Storms River via the old pass. The guides, mostly from the local community, are all fully trained and very knowledgeable in the flora and fauna of the region.
