Table Mountain & Cape Safari: Hike & Discover
An adventurous 11 day hike and safari tour that includes a visit to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, the Boulder Penquin Colony and a two day overnight hike in Table Mountain, starting in the famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, with overnight in luxury accommodation on top of Table Mountain. This is followed by transfer to the 53,000 hectare Sanbona Private Game Reserve for a three day explorer walk with a trained safari guide. Overnight is in the open air tented camp. The final night is in the formal luxury accommodation with an evening and morning game drive, before returning to Cape Town via the winelands town of Franshhoek.

| Day 1 | Cape Town | Arrival and transfer to your hotel near the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. Orientation meeting with your host / guide. The rest of the day at leisure for shopping and orientation. Your host on hand to assist where necessary. Evening – group briefing and hosted African themed dinner. |
| Day 2 | Cape Peninsula | Travel to Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve via the scenic Chapmans Peak Drive & Boulders Penguins Colony . Visit Cape Point and follow a two hour circular hiking trail in the Reserve. Yoga stretch classes before dinner. Dinner own choice. |
| Day 3 | Table Mountain Trail | Start, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, hike up to the Back Table of the Mountain. Explore various paths & views on the Back Table. Overnight at the renovated Overseers Cottage. Dinner – traditional braai (barbeque). |
| Day 4 | Table Mountain Trail | Walk the Smuts Track with views over the Southern Suburbs, to the Maclears Beacon, the highest point of the Mountain and then on to the Cable Station. Hike down Platteklip Gorge. Transfer from hike end to hotel. Yoga stretch classes before transfer to dinner on historic wine farm. |
| Day 5 | Sanbona Private Game Reserve | An early morning start for transfer to Sanbona Private Game Reserve via Montagu and R62. Arrive at the Welcome Lounge for transfer to one of the luxury lodges for lunch. Transfer by game viewing vehicle to the Explorer camp. Afternoon walk, followed by sundowners & dinner |
| Day 6 | Sanbona Private Game Reserve – Explorer Camp | Early morning rise for nature walk. Light snacks and coffee served at the camp. Walk lasts up to four hours, depending on temperatures, followed by bushveld brunch. Relax in your hammock or just enjoy the surroundings. Afternoon hike followed by sundowners & dinner |
| Day 7 | Sanbona Private Game Reserve – Explorer Camp & Cape Winelands | Early rise for a short morning walk, followed by bush breakfast. After breakfast walk back to the base camp or collection by game drive vehicle for vehicle based game drive. Lunch at the lodge, relax in the afternoon, followed by evening game drive. Dinner at the lodge. |
| Day 8 | Sanbona Private Game Reserve | Early rise for morning game drive. Breakfast at the lodge followed by check out and transfer to Welcome Lounge for collection and transfer back to Franschhoek. Overnight in Franschoek & dinner at an award winning restaurant |
| Day 9 | Cape Winelands | Short morning walk in the Mount Rochelle Nature Reserve followed by transfer to Solms-Delta for lunch, archeological tour and wine tasting. The remainder of the afternoon at leisure in Franschhoek. |
