My name is Frank Dwyer and I am a born and bred Capetonian (Kaapenaar as we say here – that is ‘of the Cape’). I have spent all of my working life in tourism related industries – hotels, restaurants and catering. With a passion for hiking and nature I thoroughly enjoy hosting you myself, telling you about my country, showing you around and finding out about you and where you come from. I also work with a wonderful group of people who have the same enthusiasm and often specialist knowledge. We specialize in hiking tours, including day hikes and overnight trails, but can link tours to other activities and places of interest not related to hiking. Our guides are all independent operators with a passion for what they do. Collectively we offer a wide range of tours and activities. There are a few standard tours, trails and day hikes that we lead on a regular basis, but most itineraries are adapted to specific requirements. Guides are matched as closely with those needs as possible. Based in Cape Town, I am a registered tour guide with a focus on nature and the outdoors. My qualifications include culture (history and people) and nature guiding, as well as mountain walking leadership. With so many wonderful hikes and multi-day trekking routes around Cape Town, I love taking people on these walks. As my father was a wine farmer, I know a bit about that too and can take you to our amazing wine producing regions. I also have a great knowledge and understanding of the geography, history and culture of South Africa, Cape Town and the Western Cape in particular. I would love to help you on your holiday in our country, to make sure that your accommodation meets your requirements and expectations and that the tours and activities you undertake leave you with lasting memories and the desire to return.
